Ould Ghazouani receives Ould Ghadde in the presidential palace

The Mauritanian president, Mohamed O. Cheikh Ghazouani, received, on Monday, in the presidential palace, the businessman Bahay O. Ghadde, the general director of’’ Wafaa Holding’’ group.
This meeting occurs days after police of economic crimes summoned Ould Ghadde, as a part of the preliminary inquiry that it conducts regarding corruption allegations that happened during the rule of former president Mohamed O. Abdel Aziz.
According to Sahara Media sources, Ould Ghadde presented to the president the role that ‘’Wafaa Holding’’ group plays in support of the national economy through employment, diversifying of the production base, and increasing the added value through investment.
Ould Ghadde also expressed the group’s support to the election program, ‘’ My promises’’, that was introduced by Ould Ghazouani in the presidential election of last year.
The same source confirmed that Ould Ghadde confirmed to the president that the group supports the election program in the different political, economic, and social fields and it is ready to help the country in its programs and interventions during food crises.
This meeting happened days after a meeting between ould Ghazouani and a delegation of Mauritanian businessmen, led by the president of the national union of Mauritanian employers. The president discussed with the commission the role assigned to the private sector in economic take-off plan after Covid-19 epidemic.
