The Mauritanian Ministry of Health declared Wednesday evening that it recorded 153 new infections of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and two deaths.
The Ministry added that it also recorded the recovery of 16 patients, who were receiving treatment.
The Ministry pointed out that these statistics were reached after it conducted 992 tests in the last 24 hours, including 27 follow-up tests.
According to these number, Mauritania has 904 active cases, 833 of which without symptoms, 55 with mild symptoms, and 16 patients with a severe health condition.
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Mauritania, since the record of the first case of infection in last March, is 8863, 7751 recoveries, and 179 deaths.
