The Minister of the Economy: “we will introduce concrete proposals to develop economically the city of Nouadhibou”

Mauritanian minister of economy, Kane Mamadou Ousmane, declared on Friday that the ministerial mission, which went to Nouadhibou to assess the performances of the Free Zone, will introduce concrete propositions to the President of the Republic and Prime Minister about the measures, which should be taken on the level of different sectors, that can play a significant role in the development of the economy of Nouadhibou.
This declaration was made at the end of the visit of the ministerial delegation. Such delegation comprises, besides the minister of economy, the minister of fisheries and maritime economy, the Minister of Habitat, Urbanism, and Territorial Management, and the Minister Secretary-General of the government, in addition to representatives of Ministries of Finance, and Petroleum, Energy, and Mines.
The Minister added that they listened to all economic players of the city, and they evaluated the performances of the Free Zone in terms of economic development. During the meeting, many economic players of the city in the fields of fishing, tourism, commerce, services, and industry referred to the deficiencies and remarks on investment, encouragement of the private sector, and the limit of labor shortages.
