Mohammed VI congratulates Mauritanian president on Independence Day

The Moroccan King Mohammed VI congratulated Saturday the Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Independence Day and expressed that he is proud of the strength of the bilateral relations between Morocco and Mauritania.

In a telegram sent to the Mauritanian president, Mohammed VI expressed in his own name and on behalf of the Moroccan population, his warmest congratulations and best wishes to the president Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani and the brotherly people of Mauritania, according the telegram.

The Moroccan monarch added that ‘’ this is an opportunity to express to your Excellency my pride in the historic relations between our neighboring countries’’.

He stressed that the bilateral relation ‘’ will be strengthened due to our common determination to upgrade the cooperative relations to rise to the aspirations of our brotherly populations’’.
